Description

Vintage 1950s tramp art matchbook ashtray made from a tin can. Old tin can has lid fashioned cigarette rests and a green paint. Folded 1950s matchbook covers are woven together with a thin string or wire enforcement also woven into the pattern. Matchbooks include advertising for banks, food products, oil companies, Tobacco, etc. Nice patina, measures 4 1/4 inches at its widest and 2 1/2 inches at its tallest. Acquired in New York State.
