True American Classic Yogi Berra1951 Fawcett Comic, Great Art & ContentGlory Days of Comics & Baseball!!!Perfect for Display Great ColorNice Golden Age Comic. Pretty nice shape, with strong color, overall Good to Very Good. If not for tear on back page, this would grade a little higher. The cover has a some wear as pictured & a some wear through at upper 1\" of spine, but colors & original sheen are strong & comic has very good display quality. The inside pages however, are actually nice & with very little color loss or darkening. There is a small tear at top edge that may have been a production press line as it is so uniform on pages. There is some discoloration to pages but overall the pages are probably Very Good+ to Fine-.

We start (or price) our sales (or listings) at 20-50% below reasonable value based on our observations & sales information (price guides & online sales) available, but we know all people are free to judge as they feel is correct. All value is ultimately determined by what buyers are willing to pay, based on their opinions. I think we priced this one about 25%-40% below book value.
Sold as part of a private collection amassed over 40 years of 1940\'s-1980\'s comics, over 1,000 #1\'s coming as time goes by. Collector focused on #1\'s. This is a client & not our own collection. Many from collection have been bagged and put away for over 30 years. Sorry, his X-Men #1 (1963) Sold a few months back.
Any opinion on grading is just my own observation based on available grading standards on line. You can judge condition & grade by the photos yourself. We have not had a complaint on description or presentation of any items, collectibles, we have sold. We are not perfect but try our best to describe items as we view them in detail. Ultimately, you will decide what you feel an item (comic, antiques or other) is worth based on your examination of photos. We handle comics gingerly.
