Vintage 1960s Lace-Up G H Bass Weejuns Cordovan Oxblood Crepe Sole Sz 11.5 D:

This is an original (and rare) pair of G H Bass Weejuns with crepe rubber soles. These shoes were highly popular in the 1950s and 1960s.

The shoes are US-made and hand-stitched. Bass enthusiasts feel these shoes come from the golden age of shoe craftsmanship.

The color is oxblood/cordovan. The shoes are likely from the late 1960s--probably nearing 50 years old. Bass started making the oxblood color in the mid-1960s.

These shoes are in near-mint condition. The leather is in outstanding shape, the stitching is strong, and the soles are in excellent condition. Even the strings are in very good shape for what appear to be an original pair.

These shoes have been used, and there are a few indications--some slight wear on the heels is evident, and the Weejuns logo on the insoles shows wear. One of the toes has a minor mark, which appears to be a natural variation in the leather, not damage.
