Vintage 1963 Hawaii Coco Joes Sad Surfer Dude Tiki Bar Menehune Lava is a beautiful and early piece from Coco Joe\'s. Note the old style logo! This lava figure called \"Sad Surfer Menehune\". The bottom is dated 1963. See my photos for details. The Condition is EXCELLENT! The only flaw I can see is a very small chip on the eyebrow. Other than this, it has no other chips, cracks or warping. The measurements are 5 5/8\" tall, 1 3/4\" wide and 2\" deep. On the bottom it is embossed \"PO-NIU NIU MADE FROM LAVA CoCoJoe HAWAII Copyright \'63\". The original sticker is still attached to the back that explains the meaning of this figure. It says:
SAD SURFER MENEHUNEThis is a North Shore long-hair have gun will surf sort of a guy. You have seen the day when the surf\'s down with an off shore wind blowing... no hope for a change. So!
