WE BUY USED GEAR!!Available for sale is this 1966 Ampeg B12XT Portaflex / Fliptop tube amplifier. The 2x12 model is very rare, and great for guitar players who love the Portaflex sound but not the speaker size. This amp has seen its share of use but still sounds great and has been gone over by our techs and is guaranteed to be fully working! This B12XT was the later version of the B12XY, and it corrected many problems those amps had.The amp includes the 2x12 cab loaded with Jensens that date to 1966. It is missing the casters and the side clips to hold the top down. Part of the logo is missing as well.The amp head is in decent shape - the plexiglass Ampeg logo is intact, and all original knobs and switches are accounted for. Preamp tubes are chinese, with an original Ampeg reverb driver, and old stock GE 7199. Also has what looks like a re-labeled Mullard 5AR4. Tube complement would be four 12ax7s, 6CG7 reverb driver, 7199 phase inverter/driver, 5AR4 rectifier, and two 7027s (JJ).This is a 2 channel amp with vibrato, and the ability to blend the 2 channels with a master volume. 2 inputs per channel, and the option for external speakers.
