Up for sale is a vintage 1969 N Scale model trainfreight boxcar. In inspect all items that I place on for sale with a magnifying glass and I refer to this inspection as close observation. Con-Cor began manufacturing model train kits as a part time venture in the early1960s and was later bought out by Walthers. This acquisition was a good fit for Walthers, because of thedetail and quality that Con-Cor products possessed.It is nearly impossible to purchase a model train car with this same quality and detail today, but similar items new sell for between twenty and thirty dollars and up.Suggested starting pricesprovided by based on selling history for similar items is between $28.00 to $98.00, so if you win the sale at the opening offer, you will be getting a great deal. Vintage Con-Cor products work very well for periodmodel train layouts beginning in the late 1800s through the 1970s as many of the model train cars and engines of the 1940sand 1950s were still inuse by the freight train companies during the 1970s and1980s. Pleasereview the photos to see the quality and detail for yourself. Some of the cars I have are from kits and some were made ready to use.This box car is marked, \"PENNSYLVANIA PRR 63720\" with the Pennsylvania Railroad logo on both sides along with other details.Thisfreight car is new in the box. It is marked on the bottom, \"Con-Cor Made in Japan\"and has lots of detail. It has metal wheels, not plastic. The former owner had a code and labeled all of his rolling stock and engines which included the date he acquired themand the catalog model number. I have selected new as part of the description, because I have the original box and while I can\'t tell you how many times it has gone around a track, I can tell you by observation that it was well cared for and gently used if used at all. I am not an expert on trains, but I can describe what I have and under close observation under a magnifying glass, I can find no signs of abuse or repairs and there are no loose parts. Over all it is in excellent condition. This is a quality product and truly vintage and would make a great addition to a serious collector\'s rolling stock.
