TITLE: Vintage 1970\'s USA made Peggy Barker I Magnin corduroy smock dress size S/M
Label: Peggy Barker, the dress label is embroidered on a small fabric tag located on the interior back neckband. There is another long, slender store label attached to the maker tag; i. magnin. There is also a care tag. The ILGWU tag is disintegrating, very little of it remains there.
Size: there is not a size tag. Please check the measurements
Chest: 36-38”
Hips: 40”
Length: 34” top of shoulder to hem
Material: although there is a care label, there is no designation of fabric content. It feels like cotton corduroy. It looks like corduroy. The yoke interfacing looks and feels like cotton.
Condition: There is some deodorant residue on the interior underarms; this has not worked through the fabric and does not show on the outside. There are a couple areas where the top-stitching has a missed stitch, but these are not noticeable—the only reason I found them is I am examining this under a bright light. The cotton cuff and yoke lining is slightly faded. It looks as if the previous owner hand sewed the hem. It is nicely done and does not show on the exterior.
Description: Smock cut with full shoulder yoke all around. The dress is gathered at the bottom edge of the yoke and then flares toward the hem. Zip-back closure. Button cuffs with round, two-hole wooden buttons. The same buttons decorate the left front shoulder. Medium wale corduroy is dark-rust colored.
