If you see a Montblanc Carrera from the 1970s, it usually is a cartridge or converter filler. They did make them with piston fillers, also, they are just very uncommon. This one is in quite excellent condition with no cracks, bite marks, engraving, or notable blemishes on the yellow/orange barrel. There are a few small light surface scratches on the steel cap but no dents or dings. It looks very nice! The piston filler works and the pen fills and writes nicely with what I would describe as a medium steel nib. It is signed Montblanc, Carrera, and Germany. It has Montblanc stars on both ends--the top of the cap and on the end of the barrel. 5 3/8 inches long, closed, and 5 3/4 inches posted with a diameter at the cap lip of just over 7/16 inches. This is a difficult to obtain pen in great condition.
