Description:
You are looking at a nice 22-1/2 inch Composition and cloth body doll, from my mothers estate sale. Her composition is still in nice condition for her age, just some paint rubs and some tine cracks by each eye. She needs a little cleaning, but I do not know how to clean compo doll. Her glass eyes are cristelizing. I did some really close up pictures of her eyes so you can see how tiny the cracks are. I think she has most of her eyelashes. I think someone has tried to touch up her lips and I\'m not sure is her eyebrows are original? She has some paint rubs on the back of her head. Her cloth body has some age stains and the wire at her neck is sticking out. Her cry box does not work any more. Her dress and slip are in good condition, with lots of detail. The slip need a few stitches in the seam, but I do not see any holes and its still nice and white, just needs a little ironing. Her composition almost looks like bisque. She is not marked, so I do not know who her maker is, but I think she looks like a German Doll or a R &B, or Effanbee doll to me. I think she is still a very nice doll for her age and her composition has held up well. I have tried to show you all her flaws in my pictures, So take a look at them and see what you think, as they are a part of my description. Email questions.
