• Vintage 27\" D SIMMONS Warranted Cast Steel Axe w/ 12\" Cutting Edge & Wood Handle/Grip - 7.4 lbs
• UNTESTED. In vintage, used condition w/ signs of age & wear - rust spots, dents/dings, marks, metal scrapes, leftover dirt/dust/rust & paint remnants all over, discoloration & wood scrapes in spots, etc. The shaft feels a little loose when holding upright but since I have not tested it, new owner might be able to tighten it up and/or clean it up as needed. Handle is bent. Buyer to be his/her own expert on this old ax. Metal head measures approx 12\" Long. I am not an antique tool expert so please see photos & be your own best expert on it\'s age, model, condition & history.
• APPROX SPECS: 27\" L (including hatchet head)(approximate)
• Again, I \"think\" the stamp reads \"D Simmons \"Forge\" or \"Cohoes\" \"Cast Steel\" \"Warranted\" but it\'s hard to make out & I am not an expert - Please see photos & be your own best expert
• UNTESTED - To the touch, the grips feels a little \"loose\" but I have not tested this axe. Handle is bent.- Please see photos & determine this yourself
• Could use a good cleaning
• Please see photos for condition & be your own expert when verifying it\'s age & history
