Here\'s a great little hat from the late 30s to early 40s with a unique shape. The crown is molded into a lobed bicorne shape that is wider from side to side. The front edge curves down slightly and that is highlighted with a row of squared clear yellow plastic sequins that have centers of metal ring studs. The rear of the pillbox shape is cut away dramatically up to the large self felt bow. A large scale veil is tacked around the bow. As you see, I photographed the hat worn both back on the head (which I find the most comfortable) and tilted forward and to the side. Veil can be worn forward, but has a couple of tears. It looks very nice both worn to the back in snood-fashion, and worn tucked under the hat.

Hat body is stamped: Belvedere 100% Wool Henry Pollak

Top of hat measures 8\" wide x 4\". Height is 3\" at front center

Inner circumference won\'t help, but I can tell you that it fits my 22 1/2\" head well, and it is too large for my mannequin\'s 20 1/2\" head.

Condition is very good. As mentioned above, there are a few breaks in the veil and it looks best worn back or tucked under, IMO. Otherwise, the hat is in excellent shape - no stains, no moth damage, no odors.
