Item: Foryour consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage 1950s atomic-era floor lamp.
Measurements: With the frosted glassdiffuser attached, the lamp stands approx. 56.5\" tall. The orange atomic accent piece located at the base is approx. 14\" tall x 6.5\" wide (at its widest point). The brass metal base is approx. 11.5\" in diameter.
Condition: Overall, the lamp is in good vintage condition with no major problems toreport. There is some wear to the brass cup around the socket at the top of the lamp - in particular, where the rotary on/off knob is located (see photos). It can most likely be shined up, ifdesired, or just left alone.Two of the three small screws that are used to firmly hold the glass shade in the socket need to be replaced as they have gone missing - a cheap and inexpensive find at your local hardware or lighting store. The orange metal adornments show a few small flakes in the paint which can easily be touched up or left alone - we left them as found. The round brass base shows some small paint dots on it which can be removed with a little elbow grease - again, we left it in as-found condition. The electrical wiring looks to be original to the lamp, and it is in good condition - no frays, splits,exposed wires, etc. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition. It will be up to the winning buyer to provide a shade for the lamp.
