This is a Vintage Clear Swedish Art Glass Light Blue \"Aqua\" Tint Crystal Vase by Strombergshyttan Glassworks of Smaland, Sweden.
It features an elegantly simple Modernist design with a slight blue color. This vase is7 inches tall and the crystal isabout1/2 inches thick.
This beautiful blue crystal piece is signed on the bottom and has the original Strombergshttan, Sweeden, silver and black sticker on the top of the footed base.
The gentle curved design reflects light magnificently. It is signed, etched,on the bottom \"Strombergshyttan\" and marked with the catalog code \"B 426\".
The top of the vase is4-1/4\"x3-1/4\".
The base is 3-1/8\"in diameter. It weighs2pounds and 8 ounces.
This vase is brand new and has never held water. I found this vase in the original gift box in tissue paper hidden away in a closet at an estate sale of a prominent doctor in Northern New Jersey.

Strombergshyttan was named after Edward Stromberg in 1933 and is located in the province of Smaland, known as the \"Kingdom of Crystal.\" Over the years about a hundred glassworks have operated in Smaland, Sweden. Today, only 14 remain, Including Strombergshyttan, Orrefors and Kosta. Strombergshyttan developed a strong reputation for quality by employing very skilled glass blowers and cutters together with Edward\'s wife Gerda designing the pieces. Gerda Stromberg became known as one of the great designers of Swedish glass.
