This is a rare and collectable Tissot Electronic PR516 Gents watch with orange and black circa early 1970\'s. Electric or Electronic watches marked the transition between mechanical movements and quartz watches and feature a hybrid mechanism of electronic circuit to carry the hands with a traditional balance wheel to provide the necessary regulation of beat to tell accurate time. Timekeeping wise they offered similar rates to traditional mechanical watches but with more stability in isochronism, and positional rates without the need for expensive adjustments to be made to the movement.Excellent condition for vintage and never seen another of this model with the orange and black face.
