Up for sale is a beautiful example of a Seiko 7005-7030 watch. The serial number dates it to March of 1972.
Mechanically, the watch sets, the date works as it should (including the quickset), and it starts running when shaken. However, its timekeeping is really erratic.I would guess it just needs a service, but it will need some kind of attention to be a reliable timekeeper.
Cosmetically, the watch is pretty blighted by a stained dial, which has a lot of damage along the edges too. Otherwise, it\'s in very nice shape. The bracelet is original but extremely short - I don\'t think it has any removable links left. The caseback has an engraving in kanji (Japanese) written on it - I would guess it\'s a commemorative or retirement gift kind of thing, but the text is too small for me to use google translate. I suspect this is a Japanese Domestic Model (\"JDM\") example, because it came to me in a large lot from Japan, and all the other watches with day wheels were Kanji/English, so the engraving is consistent.
