One Vintage Wearable Art Silk Vest
Yvonne O\'Gara made vests from antique silk kimonos and used up to 4 silk or rayon prints in the vests. Additionally, vest had fancy buttons or frog closure. This vest has a black braid frog closure, lovely \'smiley\' pockets with black silk buttons. This is fully lined in a tan silk with three different outside patterns and another silk pattern lining the pockets. The front has a front black lapel collar and a short back.
These vests sold retail for up to $185 at Barneys, Nordstrom and Neiman-Marcus.

Measurements laid flat: Pit to pit: 19.5 inches (total 39), Front Length: 25 inches, Back Length slants from 14 inches to 17 inches at the V back and then down to the side.
Condition:Very good vintage, a light interior lining spot, no tears or holes. Very clean underarms and elsewhere. I feel that the lining silk is a bit stretched in the way it hangs.
Notes: I do recommend your own laundering or dry cleaning method on vintage or pre-owned items. Ours is a smoke-free and pet-free home that does not use harsh chemicals or sprays. Pre-owned items are outdoor air hung for freshness when possible.
