Bags of this style were often part of a nomadic bridal dowry. They were given to the brides family as part of the wedding dowry. This hand craft is very labor intensive but the results are a prized possession! So special, they were most often hung on the wall of the family tent or dwelling as a sign of the families social-economic status.

This beautiful Afghanistan crafted khorjin / camel saddlebag / cushion, is densely hand woven and hand knotted using the finest natural wools and cotton. The dye colors are rich and vibrant.

Approximate measurements are 40 inches x 17 inches PLUS 5 inch fringe on each end

This is a vintage estate item in very good condition.
