Awhile back I married two vintage pieces to make an interesting covered dish. The top is, I believe, an old English or Early American silver plate (no markings on it) butter dish top, and the bottom looks to be a vintage early Middle Eastern brass footed plate. Both have lovely designs on them and I thought the two married together nicely. I\'ve used this pair for serving guests more then simply butter and have had many compliments on it.Being a collector of the old and unusual though my cabinets are anything but bare and my husband says I really need to find new homes for many of my treasures before I buy anymore. So here this one is... I hope someone can enjoy these pieces as much as I have.
