This sale is for a great vintage, if not antique cotton fabric ~ perfect for the collector,quilter, crafters or the seamstress. This and other items we now have listed have been purchased at the recent rural Kansas estate sale. This fabric:

  • great cotton fabric
  • 1 piece
  • printed not woven
  • known as a cheater print ~ printed to look like a pieced quilt
  • dates to the late 1800s to very early 1900s
  • primitive cotton fabric was often used for dresses, aprons, and quilting ~ a standard of the Era
  • featuresa great printed of a honeycomb like pattern in shades of browns, pink, turkey red, and more
  • crisp unwashed fabric
  • does have tiny stitching holes along one selvage
  • appears to have been stored for years
  • no fading
  • there is a faint age spot or streak about 2 inches long and is 1/8 inches
  • color shade is accurate on my monitor
  • remnant from past project
  • measures approximately 24 1/2 inches wide (two selvage) by 1 yard
  • smooth tight weave
  • great medium weight fabric
  • this fabric has been folded and stored for year
  • perfect for many projects and would be great for the backside of a doll quilt
  • straight from the sale ~ I have not laundered
  • no odors noted
