Beautiful Original Drop-Waist Dress for Little Girls. This type of dress was popular for toddlers from the turn of the century through the 1940\'s. When clothing had to last a long time, the lack of shoulder seams or waist made this dress wearable for more years.I have estimated this nearly 100-year-old dress as being from the 1920\'s because of the fabric, but it may be earlier. \"Nothing fancy\", but very sweet light blue plaid feels as soft as flour-sack fabric. This dress never had buttons, there are snaps going down the back. This makes it ideal for dressing dolls and your little living doll. Also adorable worn as a smock over leggings. Small orange spots on front & back as pictured, otherwise no holes, tears, or problems. I don\'t believe in using strong chemicals on antique fabrics, so I didn\'t try to remove the spots. Vintage clothing lovers embrace imperfection! Great addition to a historical textiles collection, or fashion history collection.
