This handmade and embroidered 1920\'s apronwas sewn from unbleached muslin embroidered with flowers with pretty faces, and edged yellow bias tape. The sweet flower faces are facing front as well as in profile. The largest face is a pocket. So cute!
This is the overall style of apron that covers the wearer front and back. Popular back in those bungalow days.
The apron iscompletelyhome sewn and hand embroidered. It does not appear to have been worn and laundered.Likely made as a gift for someone, cherished and never used.
There are a couple light smudges on the pocket and near the front hemline--I think picked up during the embroidery process. Does not detract from the apron and would surely launder out--I did not want to launder this piece since is was essentially \"new\".
Shoulder to hem is 38\", measure across waist is 38\", ties are 12\" long. These were meant to hand loose and protect the dress (in those days, definitely it was a dress!) underneath. A great collectable apron, adorable to display, give, wear....
