This is a Knickerbocker Toy Co Teddy Bear.He is BIG and HEAVY. This boy measures approximately 24\" from his toes to his ears.He has his original tag attached to his side which reads \"Knickerbocker Toy Co New York, USA\" on one side and \"Animals of Distinction Made in USA\" on the other side.I do not know when he dates to. Unfortunately I am not able to identify Mohair, so I do not know if it hair is Mohair or Synthetic. I have taken a lot of pictures, and a few of them close up, in hopes that maybe you can tell from the pictures.His arms and legs are jointed, his eyes are plastic and his nose is made from black string or yarn. If there is anything else you need to know to help you to date him please ask.I believe he has a growler which no longer works. He does not growl but I can hear it moving around inside of him.
CONDITION NOTES:Overall this teddy bear is in VERY GOOD condition and appears to have been well cared for. Two condition notes: His right paw has had a repair, he is stitched with white thread at the base of the paw (see picture). The pad on his right foot has some staining and wear with two small areas where a hole is starting but it does not go all the way through the material (see picture). Other than that he looks GREAT, displays wonderfully, and would make a great addition to a collection.
