Vintage Antique Large Cased Bent Sears Roebuck Vienna Meerschaum and AmberPipe :

This is a Sears Roebuck cased Vienna Meerschaum large bentbilliard pipe with a goose neck shank. Based on the straight slotted bit I believe this is alate 1920s early 30s pipe.

The smooth bowlexterior is in very good condition. The shank end has a couple hairline cracks. I stabilized them with a length ofclear shrink-wrap. The interior ischarred from use and shows no defects or damage.

The stem is anamber type. It was broken and hasbeen repaired. I filled some lighttooth wear top and bottom at the bit.The fills don’t show. Ithas a bone screw tenon and the alignment is good.

The case is inexcellent condition. The interior creamplush is soft and fluffy. It ismonogrammed “W.H. Battice”. Theexterior leather covering is whole, black and supple. The edges have gold piping. Latch and hinges function smoothly. Gold lettering on the case edge reads: Real Vienna Meerschaum and Amber.

Attached to thecase is the original Sears Roebuck instructions and guaranty tag. Though slightly browned, it is smoothand easily readable.

The pipemeasures: 5.5” from the bit to thebowl leading edge. It is 1 7/8”tall with a 13/16” bore.

It is cleaninside and out and ready to smoke.
