I have a vintage antique lot of over 550 buttons & sewing notions. There are different types, colors, sizes & made of various materials-MOP, bakelite, ivory, lucite, celluloid, vegetable, bone, etc. (I am not a button expert). There are several sets of the same button. They are very old ranging from pre 1900 to probably the 1950\'s & 1960\'s. The sewing notions include 1904 Delong hooks & eyes, snaps, metal stay, metal overall clips, etc. I have had them since 1986 as they belonged to my Grandmother & Great Grandmother. They have been packed away for many years in a smoke free home.
