Fantastic mortar and pestle apothecary set.I believe it to be made by Schering-Plough in England.Metal is unknown, it may be brass or bronze, or perhaps iron with a brass toned plating.One side reads MDCL, the other reads RVFOLAND.4.5\" high, the bowl\'s diameter is just under 4.5\" at the upper rim. With handles included, the width is approximately 8\".Pestle is just over 7.5\" in length.Weighs a hair over 4 pounds.Showing some wear and aging, has obviously been put to use!There is some incense-scented sediment inside the mortar and also on the grinding knob of the pestle.I will leave it to the buyer to clean because of being unsure of metal type.Thank you!
