Vintage/Antique Northern Furniture Co. (Sheboygan, WI) Dining Set - Early 1900\'s:
$2995.00

As you can see below from the description I found online, furniture was made under the name of Northern Furniture Co. in Sheboygan, WI, from 1904 until 1949. We\'re offering the following pieces of the dining set that was inherited from my friend\'s (he is now 73) parents.
The reeding and carving of the furniture is quite lovely. a) Sideboard/Server/Buffet - 66\" wide x 23\" deep x 34-1/2\" high.
b) Dining Table (no chairs) - when closed measures 66\" long x 42\" wide x 29-1/2\" high.
There are four extra leaves that are each 6\" wide, adding another 24\" to the length, if wanted.
They are stored under the table. Table top does have some water stain where liquid leaked through where the seams of the protective cover joined. Protective cover for all sections is included.
c) China Cabinet/Closet - 42\" wide x 18\" deep x 67\" high.
d) Side Table - flip-top expandable. When closed it measures 36\" wide x 18\" deep x 30\" high. When you flip open the top it becomes 36\" square and has storage compartments underneath the top.
There is pet chewing damage to the lower front legs.
Furniture must be picked up in Havertown, PA, within 10 days of sale\'s end.
History:
\"The R-Way Furniture Company was initially founded in 1881 as the Mattoon Manufacturing Co, and by 1900 the business had grown to employ 800 workers on a site which covered 12 acres. When the company\'s founder George B. Mattoon died in 1904, the company was renamed as the Northern Furniture Co. and went on to successfully produce a wide range of furniture including dining room tables and chairs, desks, bookcases and buffets. In 1916 it was purchased by an arm of the C. Reiss Coal Company, and continued to produce furniture under the name of Northern until 1949 when the business changed its name to R-Way Furniture. In 1942 the company had opened a chain of 12 showrooms, in which customers could view products and order items from a catalogue. R-Way went on to operate as a furniture company until 1992, when it began to phase out production at the factory. In 1993 the plant\'s equipment was sold at a public sale, and the company finally ceased trading.\"
