An excellent Italian (probably Firenze) 800 Silver Gilt and enamel compact of Venus at her bath. After Titian’s painting ‘Sacred and Profane Love’ (1514).

1st half of 20th century but difficult to put an exact date on it.

9.6 cm (3 3/4\") long x 8 (3 3/8\") cm wide x 1 cm (3/8\") thick

Weight: 139 grams

Mirror in great condition as well as interior.

Beautiful heavily detailed chasing and exquisite enamel work.

Original net and powderpuff inside (probably never used).
