(I think this was an American Style but it looks a lot like some German and Russian Cannons too-
I\'ve seen footage of both WW1 & WW2, Cannons that look like this,,
so it could be from either war... You Decide. Some later WW2 cannons had rubber tires)
**OTHER RESEARCH SHOWS this may have been a \"TABLE LIGHTER\" at one time, but is without the lighter unit
Possibly made by Negbaur Company in N.Y. (based on looks, not markings) **Circa late 50\'s or early 60\'s I\'m not sure. This was my toy
growing up.. I was born in 1952.This has Just Been Restored with sanding, painting and the crank handle was re-attached
Great attention to Detail was given, Including the \"Wood Look\" to the Wheel Spokes
and \"Black simulated Metal Bands around the Wheel Edges!
The main color of the cannon is now Metalic looking Flat Silver with dusting of Black)
(the \"Wheel Close up\" Picture depicts the color about the best)This toy does not fire any shells, nor does it change it\'s cannon angle
The Wheels roll. One is permanently fixed to the axle, the other is not.Size is about 9 3/4\" Long x 3\" Tall x 3 1/4\" Wide Weight is about 3/4 lb (12.2oz)The old unrestored paint was scratched in places from age. (see near last pix)
I have worked hard to restore it to look new.The Last 2 Pictures are similar \"REAL WW1 CANNON\" for comparison
though the wood wheels on the Real Cannons have been painted over.
