This is a WWI Trench Art Handle Button Hook. It is made with multi color washers and a Polished steel cap with a tapering polished steel shank. It has polished steel, red and black celluloid (They could be rubber, I can\'t tell which) washers making up the handle. It is approx. 5 3/4\" in length. It is in nice condition. I have no idea where this was made or who used it but it has a very nicely machined top with a flattened shape that is easy to grip.
