Hi, up for sale we havea Vintage Apollo 2000 Battery Operated Robot Horikawa Made in Japan.A friend of mine brought this over and asked me to sell it for him, he said it didn\'t work. As good as it looked, I thought it should work.I hada couple of D batteries that I used to test other toys that I have gotten over the last few years at sales. When I put them in, it did nothing.I thought maybe the batteries were bad, so I bought some new ones, put them in, and nothing. I was going to list it as not working and my wife told me to put some aluminum foil on the top and bottom of each battery. When I flipped the ON/OFF switch it started making an awful noise. When I set it down it took about six steps, started making a machine gun sound, the doors on the chest opened, the lighted guns popped out of the chest, and the top part of the robot turned 360 degrees 3 times. Then the guns went back into the chest, the doors closed, he took six more steps, and the whole thing repeated. The main problem (if it is one) is that it makes a lot of noise. My wife told me to oil it or use WD40 on it. Someone else told me that they thought it was suppose make a lot of noise. So I\'ll let the high buyer decide what to do. The last five pictures are of the robot in motion. I would say this robot is in Excellent condition with some corrosion in a few spots (top of the ears), and some loss of paint (scratches and high point wear). Please look closely at all the pictures for condition and offer accordingly.I do combine shipping.
