Description
Offered here is a gorgeous pair of antique solid 14k gold hand-carved natural jade earrings, with heavy handmade mountings. These are clip-on earrings, which can be worn by anyone--whether your ears are pierced or not. They are a good size, being one full inch long, and are sure to be noticed on your ears. They are quite classy!
The natural jade is somewhat \"greener\" than it looks in these photos, which were taken late in the day. It is mottled with dark and light green areas, and there are flowers and leaves hand-carved within each jade oval.
The jade is set in four claw prongs, in VERY STURDY handmade mountings, with lots of solid gold, and comfortable clips. The maker of these earrings did not \"cheap out\" on the settings--these are made to last, quite unlike a lot of today\'s mass produced jewelry.
The earrings measure 1\" by 3/4\". There are no hallmarks on the gold, which is not uncommon for handmade pieces, but it does test positive for solid 14k gold, guaranteed. These beautiful handcarved jade earrings weigh a hefty 10.9 grams, and they are in EXCELLENT vintage condition.
