I adore the top to this 1930's Stratnoid Powder Compact - measuring c. 2" inch diameter, it uses blue foil to immitate butterfly wingsfor the sky and depicts an Art Deco image of a young girl dancing on ice in a deep red dress - lovely! - Set to a chrome case, with an internalpatented Stratnoid mechanism and asteel mirror. On the down side thesteel mirror is no longer able to view due to scratching and the lid does not quite snap shut - all that said, it is still a great piece with a lovely theme that I am hoping it will find its way to an appreciative buyer!.
