Vintage Art Nouveau Loetz Iridescent Glass \"Tree Trunk\" Vase w/Candia Papillon:

The roots of Loetz Glass goes back to the early 1800\'s in the Southern Bohemian town of Klostermühle, today part of the Czech Republic. This stunning \"Tree Trunk\" vase was produced in the Art Nouveau period of the company circa 1902. You can see examples of this style on the Loetz website: vase was formed from blown glass, and is in the shape of a tree trunk with vertical random ribbing and three holes around the sides. The vase is irridescent with a silver blue Candia Papillon decor on a brilliant gold. The colors move with the light, hinting at blue, gold and lavender shades.
The Vase is unmarked.
This piece is a beautiful example of Loetz Art Nouveau glass, highly valued by collectors. The vase in good condition - there is some minor blemishes consistent with its age - please see photos.
