Item Description: Vintage Astracope 3000/2 Opaque Projector with lens made in West Germany by Projection-Astragon, 1:3,5 / 200mm, distributed in the USA by Luminos Photo Corp, Yonkers, NY, comes with black vinyl carrying case, operating instructions, and documents from the previous owner. The projector is easy to use and will project a hard copy image measuring 5 inches x 5 inches at an optimal distance between 4.5 feet and 8 feet, yielding projected pictures approximately 36\" x 36\" to 54\" x 54\", respectively. As this is an antiquated projector, total darkness is required for best results. The projector measures approximately 11.5\" x 8.5\" x 6\"; the case measures 13\" x 9.5\" x 6.5\". It uses a 24 V / 150 W J Bulb which is still widely available from online retailers.Item Condition: The condition of the entire assembly is described as \"very good+\", especially for its age. Part of the plastic hinge on the lid (a.k.a., \"black platen\") is broken on both sides, but the lid still stays in place due to the intrinsic magnet. The previous owner etched his name on the bottom of the unit along with what is believed to be its serial number. The projector unit works well for its era with operational electrical switch, bulbs, and focus. Carrying case is in excellent condition with tight snaps and minor scuffs from shelf wear.
