As found, the key was not present, and the bank is offered as found in that regard.

At the time of the original listing, we are in the process of listing a large number of antique and vintage items purchased in England. These items are an eclectic mix including gold and sterling jewelry, and many unique, and in some cases, one of a kind items, in wood, brass, and iron, and other materials as well.

Among the items referenced above are quite a variety of small wooden boxes, some of which are money boxes, and other Mauchline ware pieces. There are also several wooden barrel banks. We also haveavariety of other Mauchline ware pieces, some from this trip, anda variety of boxes and Mauchline ware items remainingnot yet sold from our previous trips to England.

The bank was purchased in England as noted above. I assume it is likely a souvenir purchased in Austria and brought back to England.

The bank is nicely finished. I do not know the type of wood. It has a metal handle, top, and bottom with lock. As found, there is no key and the bank is offered as found in that regard.

The bank is decorated with a decal with a bouquet of flowers. Below that is \"Velden / Wörthersee\", indicating the bank was a souvenir of Velden am Wörther See, Austria. The wikipedia article on Velden am Wörther See begins:

The barrel bank is 3 1/4\" tall with a 2\" top and bottom diameter.

Wedo not know the age of the bank specifically.

Thebank isin very good condition with only the missing key to be noted.
