This is a Japanese Glass Fishing Float from the 1960\'s, found on the west coast of Alaska, (Bering Sea) Float measures35 inches in circumference and just over 11 inches in diameter. My grandfather owned a fishing boat and brought home many Japanese floats. They have stayed in the family for years. This is an authentic Japanese Buoy. This buoy is old from the 60\'s and fished out of the ocean by my grandfather on his fishing vessel the infamous Western Sea which sunk in the early 80\'s. There are light scratches on the glass, there is no cracking or chipping. The sealed area is mis-shapen and there are large bubbles in the thick glass. There is no netting on this buoy. This sale will include shipping insurance on the purchase price due to the age of the item. Important Details: Where Do These Pieces Come From and How Old are They?Vintage and unsure of exact age.
