Throughout therazor\'s production, Gillette positioned the Tech as a low-cost model of it\'srazor lineup. The Gillette Tech was also a common gift to American soldiersfrom WWII through Vietnam from the American Red Cross in care packages.Production of Tech started at 1938 and continued under various designs rightthrough to the 1979 when the focus on cartridge shaving led to it being discontinued.

Travel Tech wassimilar to Ball End Tech, but has a much shorter and lighter handle with theregular Tech three-piece head. Handles were made from both aluminum and steel.
