ABOUT THESE BOOKEND SCULPTURES: These wonderful RARE Eaglebookend sculptures were purchased 20 years ago here on Hilton Headandhave received a great deal of comments while atop of the bookshelves in myarchitectural office over the past 20 years.... They are SPECTACULAR...........
They are either cast bronze or brass plated with nickel or chrome... there issome wear of the plating especially at the weld between the body and wings.The marble bases do have minor chips at the corners neither of the minordefects detract from the overall quality of the bookends... Balleste was wellknownfor his lady figures, his animal sculptures are very rare, I have neverseen another pair of these bookends in the years I have owned them......NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING!
