For those who might not understand what goes on with many sales, here\'s the skinny: Groups of family and friends offer on each others\' items to make sure they get a good price, even on sales that start at a penny and run for only one day. This is called shill offerding and it goes on all the time, though it is prohibited by . I don\'t think it gets stopped because higher closing prices mean more profits for themselves. If I had a group of friends and family that I absolutely KNEW would be putting in high offers on all my sales, I, too, would do regular sales because there would be no risk. This is why you see many high-priced dolls get relisted even though they just sold. You can do a simple search on for sold listings and you\'ll see it. It\'s because a friend/family member won instead of a regular buyer. Just thought I\'d put that out there in case people wonder why I cannot sale my better stuff.
Sidebar #2: I NEVER put blush on my dolls to make them look better so they will sell higher. This seems dishonest to me, but many sellers (who also practice the above-mentioned family/friend/shill offerding) actually do it routinely. My dolls are original and if they\'ve had a touch-up of any kind, I will surely divulge that information.
Sidebar #3: Speaking of coloring, I do not have any kind of special filter on my camera, nor do I use color-editing photo programs to make my dolls \"pinker\" or to enhance them in any way whatsoever. What you see is what I see and my macro lens sees (although that is to my detriment many times because it picks up flaws that, I am convinced, no human eye can see). Anyway, there\'s that.
Please understand that I am human, and even worse, I\'m an old human; so if I miss something in a description, it is not on purpose!! I strive to be as honest as possible, but I am not a fussy or picky collector and condition is so very subjective. Please consider all pictures a HUGE part of the description because many times they capture what my eyes do not.
