One of the rarer outfits from Barbie\'s high glamour years! \"Golden Glory\" from 1965-1966. (The doll is not included.)
The gold floral lame dress is a near mint beauty - no flaws at all that I can see. It seems to have been very seldom worn. The coat is in great condition too except for one issue - the fur collar is a bit uneven in the back - you can see this in photos 5, 6 and 8. The fur collar in front looks nice, and there is fur all around the back too, but the fur is somewhat lower in one place in the back...see photos. It isn\'t so obvious when the doll is wearing the coat, as you can see in the photos with the doll. (I wonder if this is perhaps a factory flaw - because when I look at the collar close up, it looks as if a little bit of the fur was caught underneath the seam when it was being originally sewn at the factory, so that little bit of fur is hidden inside the seam, inside the collar.) Other than this one issue the coat is in great condition - it shows almost no wear, and the \"Barbie R\" tag inside has very little fraying. Neither the dress nor coat have any holes, tears or stains. The two beads and sequins ornamenting the front of the coat collar are both intact and shiny.
The long green chiffon sashes are perfect, with no snags, holes, tears, stains or wrinkles. The green chiffon lining inside the coat is also smooth and free of any flaws. In photo 9, you can see a few light hem threads inside the green lining, near the hem...these are not loose threads, but are inside between the coat fabric and the lining.
The zipper in back of the dress is still in perfect condition, working well.
