This awesome vintage acrylic purse is from the fabulous Italian company Baulotto.In Italian, the word bauletto translates literally to \"trunk\", which is definitely what this darling purse resembles.The handbag has a unique opening feature- it opens from the top and the sides fold out.The acrylic exterior has the most gorgeous red color and elegant brass hardware.Wide bands of brass encircle the purse lengthwise and around the middle where the lid closes in two equal parts.Two simple rigid, brass handles make the handbag easy and comfortable to carry.A simple loop closure keeps it securely shut. Small brass feet prevent scratching to the bottom of the purse.The interior is lined with cream-colored vinyl with grey pinstripes. The vinyl has become \"sticky\" with age as vinyl tends to do. I have left it in \'as found\' conditionand have not tried to remove this \"stickiness\" or clean the vinyl in any way.The maker\'s logo is stamped on the vinyl and reads \"Baulotto, Made In Italy\". A gold logo plate adorns the front of the purse.While there is some slight scratching to the brass and the acrylic commensurate with its age, I am pleased to say that overall this bag is in very good vintage condition.This is a great piece! The color seems to be rare as I have been unable to find another one in this color in all of my online searching.Measurements: Height: 5 1/4\" (including feet) Length: 7 3/4\" Width: 4 3/4\" Handles measure 9 3/4\" and rise 3 3/4\" from lid Weight: 1 3/4 lbs.
