Up for your consideration is this vintage Black Forest Cuckoo clock with a music box, an animated water wheel and dancers. It works and keeps time properly. The little bird comes out and cuckoos and a gong also strikes once on the half hour and once for each hour on the hour. The gong can be adjusted to be silent if desired so only the cuckoo sounds. After the cuckoo in done the music starts and the water wheel turns and the dancers spin around. It alternates between two different songs. all accomplished by an ingenious mechanical design. The clock measures about 14\" high by 11\" wide by 8\" deep. The cabinet has a few very minor nicks or scuffs and a bit of the tip of one tree (the one on the left) is gone. The back is marked with: GESETZICH GESCHUTZ. tHE MOVEMENT IS MARKED \"MADE IN WESTERN GERMANY, 403. The two songs are: holzhackerbub\'n marsch and die mühle im schwarzwald. Recently lubricated. 3 original weights and pendulum are included.
