Stunning Bob Mackie beaded, sequin gown. Strapless with pleat up center front. Nude (pinkish tone) with soft blue beadwork and sequins.
Vintage 80\'s. There is still an old Loehmanns tag attached!
100% silk.
Vintage Tag states size 10. More like a 4/6 in current sizing.
Overall this dress is stunning but there are some flaws to take note of.
1- There is no Bob Mackie tag but it is a Mackie dress. Do a simple google image search of his older label and it will match the one that is on the dress.
2- One hanging tag is missing, the other one is attached but has some red marks. Tag also has some red marks.
3- There are several areas where thread that holds the beads are loose or not sewn down. See closeup photos. A few sequins or beads missing here and there from certain threads. About 18 loose threads at back. Loose threads at front = 7.
Please note: Loose threads holding beads should be tacked or sewn closed. I will include any beads that come off in the listing/storing process.
4- There are some tiny holes at lining. Not visible when worn.
5- I had the zipper replaced, because the original one was not in working order. There is a small amount of zipper where it peeks through at top of back. Also the zipper was not tacked down past the point of use. So there is a zipper tail. Could be stitched down the dress, but I wanted to keep the integrity of the original dress as much as possible.
6- At lining near where tag is attached, there are some additional holes where other tags were attached to the dress at some point.
