DESCRIPTION OF ITEM

THIS ITEM IS---VINTAGE book from the 1893 CHICAGO WORLDS FAIR, this is from a series of books, I only have SECTION 5, but this is from the largest (aprox 17 x 22 1/4 inches), size made, called the AUTHOR\'S EDITION. this is section 5, which is pages 401-500. this thing is filled with photos and drawings, truly amazing. it starts with electricity stuff and has the Edison Tower, fans, motors, telegraph, etc. this has the full chapter on HORTICULTURE AND FORESTRY, then a chapter on MINES, MINING, AND METALLURGY that goes into the next book. THIS IS A BIG BOOK, it shows wear to its 3/4 leather exterior, wear to spine as shown, the end papers is a silk or cloth at the front and back and it also shows its wear. with spotting at the back and some edge loss at the front. book is a bit musty.
