Classic, quirky and kitsch, hand painted ceramic single shaker, circa 1950\'s made in Japan. The \'kitsch\' style ceramics from this region and era and typically a little unusual and well sort after by collectors. The painted surfaces are a little random in their design, with uneven lines, patchiness in the glazed areas, features like eyes may be different shapes, sizes, etc...all adding to their individuality and quirkiness !!
This item measures approximately 11cm high x 6.5cm wide x 4.5cm deep, 1 hole under the mouth, pink plastic hat is the stopper. Ideal display piece on it\'s own. No manufacturers mark, JAPAN printed under base. Please refer to all photographs and further information of the item\'s condition below...
Condition of item (please read before purchase): Used vintage condition. Few little nibbles and rough spots around the base and mouth, no cracks, minimal crazing. General wear and/or flaws in the glazed and/or painted surface (which may include paint/glaze patchiness, bubbles, \'pitting\', glaze drips, irregular lines or colouring of hand painted design, etc. - please refer to close up photos). Has had a basic surface clean only. Colour in photographs may vary slightly to actual item due to camera flash and lighting.
