The background buildings are done in a beautiful light blue gray colors.
The foreground buildings, people and foilage are bright and beautiful.
It is believed to be a painting from the Americanartist Caroline Burnett who lived in Paris atthis time and painted many wonderful scenes of early Parisviews.
It is a beautiful oil painting made with palletwork with Burnett\'s unique style and simplicity but yet gives fantastic lightand detail to create the wonderful scenes.The painting measures 16 x 20 (canvas)21 x 25 (framed)The frame is in excellent condition. A few tiny dings here and there. I show in pictures.

Apainter born in the United States (place unknown), she was in Paris in the early part ofher career, which was late 19th and early 20th century. She was a memberof the Societe des Beaux-Arts in Paris and exhibited withthe Societe Nationale des Beaux Arts in Paris in 1898. Thissociety was founded in the 1880s as a rival to the well-established groupsponsoring the \'oficial\' Salon. The SNBA held their exhibitions at thePalais des Beaux Arts on the Champs-de-Mars.
