Vintage LIMITED EDITION Caithness Studio Art Glass COURT JESTER Large Glass Paperweight, from the COLIN TERRIS CLASSIC Collection of 2002, made by Caithness Glass of PERTH, Scotland in the United Kingdom UK.
4 1/4\" tall x 3\" diameter.
Colin Terris, the leading creative and design force who brought Caithness to prominence beginning in 1968, designed thousands of pieces of art glass in his 33 year tenure. In 2002, on the eve of his retirement, he selected his favorite 12 designs, all to be offered in limited editions as part of the Colin Terris Classic collection for only that year.
Court Jester is his revival of his 1981 figural design \"Jester\" brought to new heights with fresh color and spin. The deep green backdrop provides a stage for the brilliant clown.
This edition was limited to 500 pieces, and closed at 327 made. This is number 228.
