Offered is a rare CP Goertz American Optical Company 47.5 inch lens that measures 5.75 inches tall by 7.5\" across its wooden base. The lens itself is in great condition. I see some scratches on the metal neck of the piece that are pictured...I also see a slot where it appears as if something is missing...The wooden back of the piece shows damages around the 4 holes that once mounted it to something else...I also see some light chips on a few areas of the edges of this wooden piece...Please see the pictures provided...Otherwise, I see no additional damages or concerns of any kind on the lens. I see that the top inside edge of the lens says \"C.P. Goerz Am. Opt. Co.--Apochromat Artar 47 1/2 in. F:15 No 767525\" This number is also noted on the back side edge of the lens. .
