You are offerding on a vintage Sherlock Holmes style gourd with a butterscotch bakelite transition piece to the stem estate pipe with walnut stand that needs a new meerschaum bowl. It is approximately 7 1/8\" long x 3 1/2\" tall overall when in the upright smoking position. The gourd bowl at the top is approximately 2 3/8\" outside diameter and the inside opening at the cork lining is approximately 1 13/16\" diameter. The walnut stand(Decatur Industries?) is approximately 5\" long by 2 1/4\" wide at the large end by 1 5/8\" tall. It looks to be in very good overall condition in my opinion. The meerschaum bowl is missing and needs to be replaced. The stem has some teeth scratches, marks and oxidation. The gourd finish shows some signs of wear and has some darkening from use and storage. The gourd has an offset in it which puts the stem on an angle when the bowl is straight, which looks to be how it was made. The butterscotch bakelite transition piece between the stem and gourd has some stains. The walnut stand has some minor dings and there are some splits and natural imperfections in the wood that look to be the way it was made.The close-up pictures are the best description of the overall condition, but if more information is required please e-mail prior to offerding.
