I have for sale an Extremely Rare and Highly CollectibleVintage Capodimonte \"La Poesia\" figurine by the famous artist Giuseppe Cappe.

The signature \"Cappe\" incised to the base

The fish sign and the year 1961 incised to the bottom of the base

G Cappe, Works of Art, Italy 99046 signed to the bottom of the base

Made in Italy

Figurine measures 9\" tall x 6\"

\"La Poesia\"is one of the highlights of G Cappe\'s creation. Two full pages are dedicated to\"La Poesia\"and its matchingpair \"La Musica\"in the book \"Capodimonte Collectibles\".

The figurineis in perfect condition except for the top of its left hand 2nd finger was chipped. This extremely slight imperfection has been taken into consideration when I set the price. A perfect one will easily be in the high thousand.

Duetoits vintage nature, fewer and fewer of these figurines will survive as they are damaged over time. You cannot go any better with such a unique item from a renowned artist like Giuseppe Cappe.

A Note About Giuseppe Cappe

Born in Milan 1921-2008, lived in Milan and in Como province where he had the workshop-studio near the Royal Crown Porcelain Manufactory and where he created his masterpieces that were sent all over the world. Many of his works are now in many private collections and museums.
